CBC Radio Document: Bad Behaviour according to Family law, leading to Legal Slavery

Yesterday I received a blog from my friend on the Face Book which read: "It is often an unpleasant experience for a parent, but a child must be allowed to experience the consequences for his actions and decisions. Whenever you intervene, you rob him of taking personal responsibility for his life, and you hinder the shaping of his personality."

I commented “Bad behaviour like lies, theft, alcohol, smoking, drugs, and low moral values etc. should not be tolerated; it is parents duty to teach and encourage ethical upbringing, and promote education (knowledge and wisdom)to their children.”

There is a generation gap between me and my friend, and what I consider bad behaviours are not considered important to him. This brings up a painful subject about my life. My ex-wife abandoned me after quitting her executive job and having affair with my best friend. Her lawyer told the Family Court that I was controlling in order to live off me.

I truly loved my ex-wife and my daughter, while she considered me as an old fashioned man living in the past, and lives her life immorally and unethically. For the past 16 years I have lived alone in utter poverty due to support payments, and will continue to do so for rest of my life. Even the murderer's are released from jail after 7 to 8 years in Canada, while I have been enslaved for lifetime by Family Court.
